Fly Fishing Texas Waters

Shown below are various Fly Patterns listing construction materials and tying procedure.

There are so many effective ways to tie a particular fly pattern, so what we are showing in the following "materials" and "instructions" is more of a guideline than a requirement. For an example, you can substitute Tinsel Chenille for Estaz, or a Mustad hook for a Gamakatsu. Have fun, experiment with colors and various materials and if you come up with a "super" new combination let us know.

I am a big believer in the KISS System, that is "Keep it simple stupid", and most of the Fly Patterns shown below are basically simple and easy to tie. An effective Fly does not have to be complex and complicated to tie, so keep them simple and have fun.
